Abstract

In view of the fact that tight sandstone gas wells in the Lingxing area of Ordos Basin are mostly medium and low production wells and the petroleum geological understanding is not deep enough,this study takes the tidal channel sandstone of Taiyuan formation as the research object and evaluates the tight sandstone reservoir and sedi-mentary environment of Linxing area by using particle size analysis data,combined with the core observation,GR log curves and physical properties parameters.The results show that:in the study area,the Taiyuan formation main-ly deposited a set of medium-coarse grained sandstone,developed pinnate cross bedding and flaser bedding,and the GR logging response was mainly slight zigzag-shaped and bell-shaped;the sandstone is widely distributed in grain size,while the sorting becomes worse with the increase of average grain size,and the transporting modes of sediments are mostly rolling type,indicating that the sedimentary environment with strong hydrodynamic condition is a typical tidal channel facies;the sedimentary provenance is mainly from the north of study area,and the favorable reservoir zone of Taiyuan formation in the study area is located in LX-36 and LX-28 well areas. This study can provide a reference for the next exploration and development of Taiyuan formation in the study area.
