摘要

Abstract

To research the reason of leak failure on CO2high pressure cylinders under hydrostatic test in periodic inspection,through the research and analysis on the chemical composition,mechanical property, macro and micro rupture,and metallurgical structure of leak cylinders,the results show:The corrosive pits were observed on inside surface of leak cylinder;a layer of corrosion matter which was grey-black was on the rupture surface of leak area;cracks initiated from the decarburized layer on inside surface and devel-oped outwards to the outer surface with root shape;the transcrystalline cracks produced from a easily cor-rosion strip-like microstructure on the inside surface had the SCC characteristic.The reason of leak failure was:The transaction of CO2and water formed the corrosive environment,the SCC produced from the strip-like microstructure on the inside surface under the action of the internal pressure,the leak failure occurred when the cracks developed outwards to outer surface and leaded to locally penetrated the wall thickness or wall thickness not bore the specified pressure.
