Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between serum amyloid A (SAA) and cognitive impairment in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).Methods 110 PD patients (PD group) diagnosed in department of neurology,Second Affiliated Hospital of Third Military Medical University from June 2015 to March 2017 were selected as the research object.The same period,60 healthy subjects enrolled as a control group.The level of serum SAA in two groups of subjects was measured.The cognitive function of patients in PD group and the cognitive dysfunction in patients with PD were analyzed by Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale (MoCA) and Simple Mental State Scale (MMSE).Results Serum SAA levels in patients with PD were higher than those in controls (t =14.583,P ＜ 0.01);MoCA scores and MMSE scores were lower than those in controls (t =11.898,t =11.572,P ＜ 0.01);Serum SAA level,MoCA score and MMSE score in early,middle and late subgroups of PD patients were significantly different (F =61.094,F =38.297,F =40.026,P ＜ 0.05);Serum SAA levels in 3 subgroups tended to increase gradually and the differences between groups were statistically significant (t =13.209,t =11.176,P ＜ 0.05);The MoCA score and MMSE score of patients in early subgroup and mid subgroup of PD subgroup were higher than those in advanced subgroup (t =9.084,t =12.085,t =11.628,t =14.482,P ＜ 0.05).Serum SAA levels in patients with PD were negatively correlated with MoCA scores and MMSE scores (r =-0.701,r =-0.752,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Serum SAA levels in patients with Parkinson's disease increased significantly,and has a certain relationship with the patient's condition and cognitive dysfunction.关键词
