摘要

Abstract

Due to the using of high coercive force (HCF) and low coercive force (LCF) permanent magnet (PM) for hybrid excitations, hybrid permanent magnet memory machine (HPM-MM) combines the advantages of traditional permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM), such as high torque/power density, with the merits of memory machine (MM), such as online flux-adjustment characteristic. Consequently, it is promising for many applications such as renewable energy generation, electrical vehicles (EVs) over a wide speed ranges. On the basis of investigating the flux-regulation principle of the parallel and series HPM magnetic circuit, the HPM-MMs are classified into rotor-PM type and stator-PM type according to the position of HPMs. In this paper, an overview on the HPM-MM systems was carried out, with particular emphasis on machine configurations and their operational principle, mathematical model, and control strategies. Meantime, their key technologies were conducted, concerning mainly about the analysis features, PM flux observer as well as torque ripple mitigation. Furthermore, the topologies, operation principle of several special HPM-MMs were explored. Finally, the future trends of the machine systems were prospected.
