摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the association of nutritional risk with age, anemia, serum albumin and total protein, and body mass index (BMI) in tumor patients treated with chemotherapy based on the results of nutritional risk screening, providing a reference for timely delivering clinical nutrition support therapy for such patients. Methods We enrolled 236 tumor patients who received chemotherapy in Beijing Friendship Hospital, Capital Medical University from January to October 2015. Nutritional Risk Screening 2002 (NRS 2002) was used to screen their nutritional risk. Results Of the 236 patients 〔69(29.2%) aged < 60 years, 80 (33.9%) aged 60-69 years, 87(36.9%) aged ≥70 years〕, 142(60.2%) had nutritional risk. Those aged ≥70 years were more likely to have nutritional risk compared with those < 60 years (P<0.05). Moreover, higher likelihood of nutritional risk was found in patients with anemia, decreased serum albumin level, decreased serum total protein level or decreased BMI (P<0.05). Conclusion Tumor patients treated with chemotherapy have high incidence of nutritional risk, which is associated with age, anaemia, levels of albumin and total protein and BMI. In view of this, dynamic nutrition monitoring during the nutritional assessment for these patients should be strengthened properly, in order to timely detect nutritional risk and deliver nutrition support therapy.关键词
