Delivery Status of Contractual Services from Family Doctors in China and Advances in the Related Studies

Abstract
In order to further activate the basic role of contractual services from family doctors (CSFD) in improving the service capabilities of grassroots medical institutions, and provide a reference for the delivery of CSFD and formulation and enaction of related policies, we analyzed the current status of delivery CSFD in China and advances in the related studies mainly from 5 aspects (allocation of health resources, optimization of the contractual services, exploration of family doctor team performance evaluation mechanism, changes in mode of paying contractual services by medical insurance, and residents' intention of signing a contact with a family doctor as well as their satisfaction with CSFD), and concluded that although the delivery of CSFD has achieved some fruitful results, relatively insufficient medical professionals, unsatisfactory service quality, unsound performance evaluation mechanism and low residents' recognition of CSFD hinder the further development of CSFD delivery, and based on this, we proposed some suggestions, such as giving priority to the training of primary care providers, perfecting the incentive mechanism for delivering high-quality contractual services, improving the regional coordination in delivering medical services, and optimizing the contractual services.关键词
