摘要

Abstract

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) belong to a class of evolutionarily conserved non-coding endogenous small RNAs, which can post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression via specific binding to target gene 3' untranslated region, and participate in multiple physiological and pathological processes in the body. Recently, miRNAs have been found to play an important role in myocardial fibrosis, cardiomyocyte hypertrophy as well as apoptosis. Besides, miRNAs are involved in the occurrence and development of heart failure, and can be used as a kind of new biomarkers in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis for heart failure, thus are expected to be a new potential therapeutic target. Consequently, the recent advances in miRNAs related to heart failure was reviewed in this paper, providing a novel therapeutic method for cardiovascular disease.
