Abstract
Negative group delay circuits(NGDCs) have wide applications in many technical and engineer-ing areas.To fill the gap in passive and non-reciprocal NGDC researches,the NGDC composed of a strip-line circulator is proposed.Mathematical analysis of the S parameters of the circulator's equivalent circuit reveals that the stripline circulator possesses such non-reciprocity that its forward group delay is positive and reverse group delay negative.The negative group delay(NGD) value is proportional to the equivalent input susceptance slope and inversely proportional to the equivalent input conductance.A triangular strip-line circulator centered at 2.05 GHz is designed,fabricated and evaluated to verify the theoretical calcula-tion.A positive group delay of about 0.7 ns is obtained in the forward direction and the maximum NGD in the reverse direction is -0.9 ns,with NGD bandwidth exceeding 400 MHz.The measured results validate the mathematical analysis,which provides some references for the study of non-reciprocal NGDC with a stripline circulator.关键词
