Abstract

Ni-P compounds anode materials were prepared by electrodeposition.The morphology,composition and electrochemical performance were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),X-ray dispersive spectrum analysis (EDS),charge/discharge test,cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).The results show that the capacity and cyclic performance of Ni-P compounds anode materials are affected by heat treatment temperature and particle size of active materials.The first charge capacity of Ni-P compounds anode materials is 407 mAh/g which is much less than the first discharge capacity (862 mAh/g).Most of the capacity loss can attribute to the formation of a highly irreversible poor lithium phase.EIS combined with SEM and CV analysis points out that the important reasons of initial large irreversible capacity and capacity fade are poor electrical conductivity of the active material and the rupture and reformation of solid electrolyte interface (SEI) film caused by volume expansion of the Ni-P compounds anode materials during the conversion reaction.
