The technical key points and main features of the new national standard of magnitude

Abstract
New magnitude national standard of《General Rulers for Earthquake Magnitude》(GB17740—2017) is the state mandatory standard, it was released on May 12, 2017, by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China. This paper introduces the necessity of revising the national standard of magnitude, and the main contents, technical points and primary features of the new national standard of magnitude, so as it can be applied better in practice.关键词
