A Design of a Novel Dual-band Circularly Polarized Satellite Navigation Antenna
摘要
Abstract
A novel patch antenna with a slotted surface and a radiation frame is presented. HFSS software simulation results show that both the impedance bandwidth and the axial ratio bandwidth are significantly increased compared with the normal sole patch antenna, and higher gain together with better dual-band characteristics can be obtained as well. Its dual bandwidth is able to cover frequency band L1 and L2 of four satellite systems including GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO/Compass. Therefore, in place of the dual patch antenna, it is particularly suitable for the use of handheld high precision navigation terminals. Furthermore, this novel patch antenna has the advantages of wider bandwidth, smaller size and lower cross-section over other dual-band circularly polarized patch antennas, which leads to a promising prospect.关键词
