Progress of TTE and CMR in evaluating cardiac function in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension
摘要
Abstract
The diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)may be delayed because patients often present with nonspecific symptoms.The prognosis mainly depends on the function of right ventricle,the ventricular interdependence,and the whole cardiac functional status. Noninvasive imaging provides important information that can aid early screening,making diagnosis,assessing and monitoring the cardiac function,evaluating the prognosis,as well as investigating the mecha-nism of cardiac dysfunction in patients with PAH.Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE)is often used as the first choice of imaging examination for PAH.Cardiovascular magnetic resonance(CMR)can provide information of cardiac function in mul-ti-direction and the myocardium tissue characterization.This article presents an up-to-date review of the clinical application and research progress of TTE and CMR in evaluating cardiac function of PAH patients.关键词
