Review and Prospect of Mars Mapping Technique Using Remote Sensing Data
摘要
Abstract
This paper reviews Mars exploration missions,and the techniques and products of Mars mapping using remote sensing data.Since 1960,humanity has conducted 44 Mars exploration missions,among which 1 8 missions are successful and,3 are partially successful.Based on orbital images and laser altimetry data,lander and rover images,series of photogrammetric techniques have been developed,and global mapping products with 100 m level resolution,high resolution maps of local regions with meter to sub-meter level resolution have been produced,which greatly supported scientific investigations and mission operations.Future research directions of Mars mapping are also discussed,including multi-source multi-coverage global mapping,improvement of Mars global control network,automated massive data processing and information mining,real-time long-range Mars rover localization and mapping, data sharing and international cooperation,etc.关键词
