摘要

Abstract

In order to validate the feasibility of ethylene glycol as the extractive solvent for separation the dimethyl carbonate + methanol azeotropic system by extractive distillation,isobaric vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) data of the ternary system (dimethyl carbonate-methanol-ethylene glycol) were measured at 100 kPa in a modified Othmer still.With the addition of ethylene glycol,the relative volatility of dimethyl carbonate to methanol increases,the vapor-liquid equilibrium temperature increases.The vapor-liquid equilibrium curve of methanol and dimethyl carbonate with ethylene glycol deviates from the curve of methanol and dimethyl carbonate without ethylene glycol.The greater the ethylene glycol mole fraction,the greater the deviation from the curve without the ethylene glycol.The NRTL model was used to correlate the experimental data of the system (dimethyl carbonate-methanol-ethylene glycol).The standard deviation of temperature is 0.82 K.
