Study on Strong Column-weak Beam Failure Mode Design of RC Frame Structures
摘要
Abstract
In order to realize the strong column-weak beam failure mode and improve the structural seismic performance,a seismic design procedure for the strong column-weak beam failure mode of reinforced concrete frame structureswas developedbased on the current seismic design code.Reinforcement at beam end and momentof the column basewere obtained by elastic analysis based on the current code.The corresponding ultimate bending noment of reinforcement at the beam end was calculated,which was considered as the plastic hinge moment in failure mode.Then,the column was equalized as a cantilevered beam.The column was analysed and designed with the given external forces.The method has been successfully applied to a six-storey RC frame,and validated by inelastic analyses.The results show that the new method can make sure that the structure develops the strong column-weak beam failure mode more easily.关键词
