Abstract
Metabolic syndrome (MS) usually manifests as concurrent disorders of glucose metabolism and lipid metabolism, the related treatments often cover multiple aspects include blood glucose, lipid, uric acid (UA), blood pressure (BP), etc, thus patients always suffer from too much drugs for one disease. In order to better linked up traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and modern MS, Prof. TONG Xiaolin puts forward Pi Dan theory and highly summarized the pathogenesis of MS that "Any overflow and internal congested syndromes associated with glucose, lipid and UA belong to Turbidity". Based on his "Status-Traget&Origin-Result (STOR) Therory", Prof. TONG phases the course of MS, distinguishes its Status, thus regulates Status first and has all fat, glucose, lipid, BP and UA been considered when give treatment. Here we explore the pathogenesis and therapeutic strategy of MS according to Pi Dan and STOR theory to expand the treatment ideas of metabolic syndrome.关键词
