Abstract
Objective:To investigate the correlation between the quality of life and the medical characteristics of free fibula myocutaneous flap in the treatment of mandibular ameloblastoma.Methods:The quality of life of UWQOL and OHIP-14 were measured in 98 patients with ameloblastoma treated with free fibula flap were analyzed.Results:All the question-naires were completely recovered.Among the UWQOL scale,the highest score was the shoulder function(82.5 ± 25.6), whereas the lowest scores were for chewing(30.2 ± 21.6).In the OHIP-14,the lowest-scoring domain was handicap,fol-lowed by social disability and psychological discomfort.Conclusion:Reconstruction of the free fibula flap to repair the mandi-ble has an important effect on the quality of life and oral function in patient.关键词
