An optimal nesting algorithm for broken solar cells reusing

Abstract
A nesting algorithm based on image processing is proposed for reusing broken solar cell to reduce the waste of materials and improve the yield of productions.Firstly, extract the cell valid region from original picture by edges detection. Then rectangles with specified sizes are arranged in cell valid region according to the designed algorithm. Finally, laser cutting lines are generated and the cutting paths are optimized. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is very effective for nesting and optimizing cutting path for any type of broken cell. It indicates that the presented method has good value in industrial applications and reference.关键词
