Abstract
Objective To study the effectiveness of wet packing with Lidocaine of different concentrations on pain relief in wound debridement. Methods Ninety participants were randomized into three groups and treated with three different intervention orders as follows: ABC, BCA and CAB, in which A stands for normal saline; B for 1% lidocaine and C for 2% lidocaine. Numeric rating scales were used before, at and after conservative sharp wound debridement as well as stopping times due to unbearable pain during the wound debridement.Results There were significant differences regarding to pain relief with different liquids(P<0.05).When the depth or size of the wound was lower or less than 1cm or 9 cm2,there was no significant difference between treatment B and C(P>0.05). When the depth or size of the wound was greater or more than 1cm or 9 cm2, there were significant differences between the treatment B and C(P<0.05). Conclusion The concentration of surface anesthesia can be chosen according to the different depth or size of the wound.关键词
