摘要
Abstract
[Purpose/Significance]With the rapid development of Internet technology, Social Media Intelligence(SOCMINT) has be-come one of the important sources of intelligence to intelligence community. Research on this concept will help us understand the important value of social media as an open source intelligence for national security.[Method/Process]This article reviews the related literature,ex-plores the term of SOCMINT from its concept introduction,definition,intelligence gathering methods,summarizes the risks and challen-ges involved in the intelligence practice activities, and proposes the corresponding countermeasures.[Result/Conclusion]The study finds that only by focusing on the"double-edged sword"effect of SOCMINT,can the SOCMINT be excavated on the basis of reasonable,le-gal and compliance and make it a useful tool for safeguarding national security and development in the new media age.关键词
