Synthetical Evaluation of Salinity Tolerance of 67 Stylosanthes Sw.Materials

Abstract
In this study,salt tolerance of 67 Stylosanthes Sw.materials belongs to 23 different species were evaluated under 200 mmol/L NaCl stress with hydroponic system.Withered leaf rate (WLR),relative growth (RG),chlorophyll (Chl) content and relative water content (RWC) were measured on 15 d of salt treatment.The results showed that there were significant salt tolerance differences among the 67 materials.Correlation analysis showed that WLR was negatively correlated with Chl content,RG and RWC,the correlation coefficients were 0.87,0.78 and 0.59,respectively,while RG was positively correlated with Chl content,the correlation coefficient was 0.72.PCA showed that two principal components that accounted for 89.83% of the total variance.Membership function and hierarchical cluster analysis showed that S.erecta Beauv.CIAT11900,S.hippocompoide Mohl Fine stem,S.hamata CIAT1010,S.fruticosa Alston CIAT11052,S.debilis Ferr.et Costa CIAT11927 and S.hamata Verano had the best salt tolerance and were expected to be applied on coastal saline soil.关键词
