Development of parametric design system for gravity dam

Abstract
In order to reduce manual calculation effort in gravity dam design,promote design efficiency,this paper proposes a 3d parametric design method of gravity dam based on CATIA two development,to realize the design of gravity dam efficiently and rapidly.Through the profile of the non overflow dam section,the anti sliding stability and stress analysis,CATIA automatic three-dimensional modeling,fast drawing,automatic mesh generation and ANSYS finite element calculation,finally "gravity aided design" function module customized for CATIA.Also the method is applied to the design and analysis of a gravity dam project,the results of the application are consistent with the theoretical value,proved the program is reliable;and the program time is far lower than that of artificial time-consuming,which prove that the program can improve the work efficiency.The feasibility of this method is verified by engineering example,although the research object of this method is non-overflow dam section,but the method also can be used for overflow dam section,and other type of dam or other component,so this method has a certain promotion value.关键词
