Effect of dietary buckwheat straw level on slaughter performance, organ indexes, meat quality and blood biochemical index in sheep

Abstract
[Objective]The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of dietary buckwheat straw level on salughter performance,organ indexes,meat quality and blood biochemical in sheep.[Methods]Thirt Dorper sheep(♂) × Small Tail Han sheep(♀)F1 rams weighted 25 kg were randomly divided into 5 groups with 6 rams per group.The control group was fed the basal diet,and the experimental groups,including A,B,C and D were fed experimental diet with the adidition of buckwheat straw at 13.75%,27.5%,41.25% and 55%,respectively.[Results]In terms of slaughter rate,net meat percentage,carcass fat content value,27.5% group was significantly increased,55% group was significantly decreased compare with the control group (P<0.05).The L1h,a1h,b1h,L24h,b24h,shear stress in the 27.5% group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05).The ratio of the liver,valve stomach and mall intestine weight to the pre-slaughter weight in the 27.5 % group were significantly higher than the control group (P>0.05).The ratio of the lung weight to the pre-slaughter weight in the 13.75 % group and 55 % group were significantly higher than the other groups.Compared with the control group,the total antioxidant capacity,glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase were significantly increased in 27.5 % group (P<0.05),and the total antioxidant capacity of the 55 % group was significantly higher than the control group (P<0.05).[Conclusion] In summary,the 27.5% of dietary buckwheat straw level could improve slaughter performance,promote the development of digestive organs,increase meat quality and blood biochemical.关键词
