Abstract

The Southeast Orebody (SEOB) of Chambishi Copper Mine is buried deep with gentle inclination. In order to satisfy the demand of production and realize the automation and mechanization of the SEOB, it is necessary to establish the maintenance workshop, because the stability has a significant importance to the mine safety. By adopting the BIENIAWSKI rock mass theory and Protodyakonov's mountain rock pressure theory, the stability of the workshop is verified, the unsafe rock mass height is predicted, and the anchor bolt and sprayed concrete support scheme is proposed. Combined with the geological investigation, theoretical analysis and empirical method, the support parameters are determined; it can guarantee the long term stability of maintenance workshop, which is a certain reference for similar engineering.
