摘要

Abstract

A sealing structure of pressure energized octagonal ring gasket was introduced,and compared with double-cone seal and conventional octagonal ring gasket in this paper.The calculation formulas of bolt loads for pretightening and operation condition were deduced through force analysis respectively.The verification of these deduced formulas by FEA as an example was performed.The force status of this sealing structure is similar to double-cone seal except the pretightening condition.The requirements for checking sealing pressure was suggested for startup duration and the sealing pressure shall not be less than mp to obtain a reliable sealing performance during the pressurizing duration of equipment.The design reference of the sealing structure with pressure energized octagonal ring gasket was recommended.
