摘要

Abstract

As the significant part of energy internet, fault characteristic analysis of power electronic transformer (PET) plays an important role in the operation and protection of the grid. This paper analyzed the fault characteristics of pole-to-pole fault that occurs at the DC ports based on the structure of PET. According to fault characteristics of pole-to-pole fault, the process of fault could be divided into two stages: RLC resonance stage and inductor current freewheeling stage. The expressions of terminal voltage and short-circuit current at the DC port during two stages were deduced. Furthermore, the influence factors of fault characteristics were listed and special attentions were paid to the relationship between short-circuit current and structure and relevant parameters of PET. In the end, simulation results proved the validity of fault characteristic analysis in this paper.
