Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the addition of intratympanic steroid to systemic steroid combined with hyperbaric oxygen on the treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss and serum CRP. Methods 60 patients (60 ears) with sudden sensorineural hearing loss enrolled in the department of Otolaryngology in Sanya People's Hospital from January 2014 to December 2016 were randomly divided into two groups (n=30):the control group treated with systemic steroid combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy and the observation group given intratympanic steroid,Based on the control group, before and after treatment, the average pure tone valve and CRP levels,the clinical efficacy in the two groups was compared.Results for the post-treatment the average pure tone listening level was significantly improved in the two groups, while the average pure tone level in the observation group was significantly better than the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P>0.05), but the cure rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05), For the both groups of severe to profound patients,the total effective rate of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum CRP in the two groups were significantly decreased (P<0.05), but in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The addition of intratympanic steroid to systemic steroid combined with hyperbaric oxygen may yield better results in the treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss,and it's more significant in patients with severe to profound sudden deafness, the inflammatory response plays a certain role in the treatment process.关键词
