Abstract
Objective This study is to have a better understanding of the routine work of local audiologists at hearing and speech centers . Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted to understand the audiologists' basic situation, working status, training needs and so on, in 27 provinces.Results The age of audiologists involved in the survey was 20 to 40 years old. Most of them were college graduates with greater selfesteem in their profession. In basic hearing and speech rehabilitation institutions, the number of full-time audiologist is slightly larger than the number of part-time. Related services such as hearing management are still inadequate.Conclusion In China, a contingent of audiologists has been established. At the same time, trained professionals are still needed and there's a lot of room for promotion of the quality of hearing management services supplied by basic hearing and speech rehabilitation institutions.关键词
