Abstract

The increasingly stringent environment protection requires the use of clean gasoline.The composition characteristics of gasoline in China decide that reducing the sulfur content in fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) gasoline is the key to the development of gasoline desulfurization process and catalyst.By changing the surface acidity of the alumina supporter,the interaction between the supporterand the active component can be reduced which is beneficial to hydrodesulfurization (HDS) process.In this paper,the preparation of microwave assisted HDS catalyst and the microwave promotion of HDS process were studied.The microwave aided preparation of alumina supporter was achieved by using microwave in hydrothermal synthesis reaction and drying process.The performance of the alumina was investigated,and thedesulfurization performance of the prepared catalysts was examined by using the thiophene model compounds and FCC gasoline as raw materials.The results show that the supporter prepared by microwave promotion has a better pore size distribution,bulk density,crystallinity and crystalline features.And the effect of microwave on HDS process can increase the desulfurization rate of sample gasoline by 5 %0~13%.
