摘要

Abstract

A practical and reliable HVDC circuit breaker is an important technical guarantee for the realization of HVDC power transmission,especially the flexible multi-terminal HVDC power transmission.In this paper,the work-ing principle,advantages and disadvantages of the mechanical,solid-state,and hybrid types of HVDC circuit breaker are illustrated.On this basis,a novel hybrid HVDC circuit breaker based on IGBT and its control strategy are put for-ward,which decrease the series number of IGBT substantially,reduce the breaking times of IGBT of solid-state switch, and improve the breaker's ability of breaking heavy current.By adding the RC buffer branch,the voltage rise rate at the two terminals of the circuit breaker is limited during the breaking process.The proposed control strategy has a cer-tain adaptability,which can adjust the conduction number of IGBT parallel branches with the predicted maximum short circuit current of solid-state switch.Finally,a simulation model is built in Matlab/Simulink,which verifies the feasibil-ity of the proposed scheme.
