Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of forkhead box C2 (FOXC2) in the eutopic and ectopic endometria in patients with ovarian endometriosis and their correlations with clinical factors and to investigate the serum level of FOXC2 in patients with ovarian endometriosis and its diagnostic value for endometriosis.Methods The eutopic and ectopic endometria and the serum samples were collected from 80 patients with ovarian endometriosis as the endometriosis group.The normal endometria were collected from 66 healthy women as the tissue control group,and the serum samples were collected from 80 healthy women of childbearing age as the serum control group.The expression of FOXC2 in all groups was measured by quantitative real-time PCR,immunohistochemistry,and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results The endometriosis group had significantly highermRNA and protein levels of FOXC2 in eutopic and ectopic endometria than the tissue control group (F =22.69,Hc =118.737,P ＜0.01).The endometriosis group had a significantly higher serum level of FOXC2 than the serum control group (t =4.003,P ＜0.01).Conclusion FOXC2 is closely related to the development and progression of endometriosis.Therefore,FOXC2 may be a potential marker for early diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of endometriosis.关键词
