Abstract
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of Naoxintong on diabetic patients with carotid atherosclerosis.Methods:64 patients with diabetes complicated with carotid atherosclerosis were randomly divided into Naoxintong group and aspirin group.32 patients in Naoxintong group were treated with Naoxintong and 32 patients in aspirin group were treated with aspirin.Two groups with continuous therapy for 1 year,after and before treatment,two groups were examined with color Doppler ultrasonography on (carotid artery) intima-media thickness (IMT),blood lipid and other parameters.Results:Naoxintong group:Carotid IMT was significantly thinner (P ＜0.05) and the levels of serum total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were significantly decreased (P ＜0.01) after treatment.ASP group:There was no significant difference in the levels of carotid IMT and TC,TG and LDL-C before and after treatment (P＞ 0.05).There was no significant side effect during the treatment.Conclusion:Naoxintong can be used as an effective and safe drug for diabetes with carotid atherosclerosis.关键词
