Effects of Different Influent Concentrations on Nitrogen Removal Efficiency in Integrated Constructed Wetlands

Abstract
The removal efficiency of nitrogen as well as the removal mechanism in integrated constructed wetlands with Canna indica were studied in this experiment under low, middle and high influent concentra-tions.The results showed that the wetlands could run well and effectively remove nitrogen and organic matter under high influent concentration with the TN of 240 mg/L and CODCrof 490 mg/L.There was higher removal efficiency of nitrogen in September than that in July.Both prolong hydraulic retention time(HRT)and influ-ent concentration could affect the nitrogen removal efficiency in integrated constructed wetlands.关键词
