Timing estimation of continuous phase modulation system with low complexity
摘要
Abstract
In order to reduce the complexity of timing estimation, a new continuous phase modulation (CPM) maximum likelihood(ML) timing estimation algorithm was proposed. The algorithm realized the timing estimation with the alternative set of basis function in the form of Legendre polynomials,which could make the timing transfer in the ML scheme be liberalized. In addition, the original complex differential operation was converted into the simple summation operation. The results show that in the open and closed loop systems,the proposed algorithm can solve the approximate ML timing problem for multiple commonly used CPM signals,and the results are close to the lower bound of unbiased estimate value.关键词
