Abstract
Objective:To investigate the influence of male age on pregnancy outcomes of IVF-ET.Methods:The data of 1 407 couples undergone conventional IVF-ET with the standard long protocol for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation(COH)in our center from June 1,2013 to December 30,2016 were retrospectively analyzed.The patients were divided into two groups according to female age(＜38 years and ≥38 years),and each group subdivided into two groups based on male age(＜40 years and ≥40 years).The characteristics and pregnancy outcomes were compared among the different age groups.Results:There were no significant differences in the general condition and pregnancy outcomes between the male age ≥40 years and ＜40 years group in the women'age ＜38 years group(P≥0.05).The implantation rate,biochemical pregnancy and clinical pregnancy in male'age ≥40 years group were significantly lower than those in male'age ＜40 years groups when the women'age was ≥38 years(P＜ 0.05).However,the difference of clinical pregnancy rate was not significant between the male'age ≥40 years and ＜40 years group [OR=0.864,95％CI(0.597,1.251)] after adjustment for female age in logistic regression model.The clinical pregnancy rate in male'age ≥40 & fame age ≥38 group was significant lower than that in both male and female age ＜35 years [OR=0.318,95 ％CI(0.178,0.568)](P＜0.01).Conclusions:After adjustment for female age,male age had no significant influence on pregnancy outcomes in conventional IVF-ET.However,when both men and women are elderly,men's age may still have a negative impact on clinical pregnancy rates.关键词
