Follow-up observation of glucometabolic states of coronary artery disease patients with impaired glucose tolerance
摘要
Abstract
Objective To follow up the glucometabolic states of coronary artery disease (CAD) patients with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT).Methods From January 2009 to June 2014 the CAD patients with previously unknown diabetes mellitus underwent oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT),and the patients with IGT were selected.OGTT was repeated and HbA1c was tested in the selected patients every year.According to the condition of CAD patients in the beginning, the patients were assigned to group of stable coronary artery disease (SCAD) and group of acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Results A total of 65 selected patients were assigned to SCAD group (n=29) and ACS group (n=36).The average follow-up period was 3.6±1.1 years, and totally 215 times of repeated OGTT were performed. The results of 77 times of OGTT showed normal glucose metabolism, and the normal ratio of ACS group was higher (44.6% vs.24.5%) (P<0.01).The results of a totally 114 times of OGTT still showed IGT,and compared with ACS group,SCAD group had higher reproducibility (65.9% vs.43.0%) (P<0.01).In ACS group,2hPG in the beginning (9.54±1.69mmol/L) was higher than that in the follow-up period (8.13±2.13 mmol/L),(P<0.001).In SCAD group, the plasma glucose in the beginning was similar to that in the follow-up period. In whole follow-up period the results of OGTT of 16 patients showed to be absolutely normal, and 7 patients has been diagnosed with diabetes, and the remained 42 patients had impaired glucose regulation (IGR).Conclution In follow-up period the majority of CAD patients with IGT still have IGR.Stress maybe the possible cause of higher 2hPG inACS group in the beginning.关键词
