Treatment of phlegm and heat blocking lung syndrome in children with viral pneumonia by Qingre Xuanfei decoction

Abstract
Objective Observe the clinical effect of Qingre Xuanfei decoction in treating the syndrome of phlegm and heat obstructing the pulmonary of childhood viral pneumonia. Methods This study received 84 patients with syndrome of phlegm heat obstructing the lung of childhood viral pneumonia, randomized controlled design method. The patients were divided into treatment group and control group. Treatment group (39 cases) applying ribavirin injection plus Qingre Xuanfei decoction, 45 cases were applied ribavirin injection plus ambrocol oral solution.To observe the patient's symptoms, signs and changes of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood, using the statistical analysis SPSS15 software. Results The treatment group was better than the control group in improving symptoms and signs such as phlegm, cough, lung auscultation. The treatment group was better than the control group in improving chest X-ray. The treatment group can improve the level of CD4+, CD4+/CD8+and the level of CD8+increased due to viral infection, which is better than that of the control group. the treatment group was superior to the control group in overall efficacy.Conclusion Qingre Xuanfei decoction is an effective compound for syndrome of phlegm heat obstructing the lung of childhood viral pneumonia. It can improve the symptoms and signs, shorten the course of disease and reduce the length of hospital stay, which is worthy of clinical application.关键词
