Influence to Residual Strength of 3D Composites after Impact on Preform Surface Treatment

Abstract
A three-dimensional(3D) curved shallow-crossing linking reinforcement was prepared from glass roving of 2400 tex on a 3D weaving machine modeled SGA598.The reinforcement was treated by 30wt% silane coupling agent aqueous solution.The resin matrix was composed of epoxy resin E51 and polyether amine WHR-H023 in a mass ratio of 3 ∶ 1.The 3D curved shallow-crossing linking woven composite was then made from surface-treated reinforcement and resin matrix by VARI method.Universal Material Testing Machine was used to characterize the strength of 3D composites after impact,and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) was used to observe the microstructure of impact pit of 3D composites.The results showed that higher bending strength after impact is shown in the composites,which is composed of glass fiber treated by silane coupling agent and epoxy resin and that composites showed a more smooth plane in the pit after impact.关键词
