Effects of Configuration of Whorled Components on Polypropylene Grafted by Cardanol by Reactive Extrusion

Abstract
Polypropylene grafted by cardanol (PP-g-cardanol) was prepared by reactive extrusion by torque rheometer in this paper.The effects of combinations of whorled components on the grafting ratio of PP-g-cardanol,the reological properties and the mechanical properties were studied.Results showed that the S4 configuration of whorled components was beneficial to separate feeding because its melting section used two-section kneading block.The homogenizing section adopted the design of two-section kneading block plus a reverse whorled component.Using this type of whorled components,PP-g-cardanol with the grafting rate of 4.95%.At the same time,the degradation of PP chains was decreased.The reological properties and the mechanical properties are optimal.关键词
