Prediction of Water Transport and Distribution of the Gaugue Concrete

Abstract
In order to evaluate the influence of coal gangue aggregates on the durability of concrete, the water absorption test was conducted on the gangue concrete specimens according to the ASTM C 1585-13. The replacement rate of the traditional aggregates by the coal gangue aggregates was 0%,30%,60%and 100%.The effects of the dosage of the coal gangue aggregates on the water absorption were analyzed;the initial rate of absorption and the second rate of absorption were compared.The results show that the water absorption capacity of the concrete is remarkably influenced by the contents of the coal gangue aggregates,when the replacement rate is 30%, the water absorption capacity of the specimen is similar to the traditional coarse concrete, however, when the replacement rate is larger than 60%, the water absorption capacity of the specimen went up obviously.It reveals that the dosage of the coal gangue aggregates affected the durability of the concrete.At last,the prediction of the water content distribution of the gangue concrete is illustrated according to the water absorption results.关键词
