摘要

Abstract

Nuclear science and technology has been used widely in national defense, medical science, industry, agriculture and scientific research fields.The nuclear radiations, such as X-ray, γ-ray, neutron and so on, are harmful to humans, environments, equipments and instruments, which has attracted global attentions in radiation protection field.Transparent radiation shielding glass is one of the important radiation shielding materials, in this paper the transparent radiation shielding inorganic glass was made by the conventional casting method, and the neutron and γ-ray radiation shielding properties were reported.Also,the optical and thermal properties of the radiation shielding glass were studied.The results show that the radiation shielding inorganic glass, with high transmittance, good thermal stability and heat resistance, has good protective capability against γ-ray and neutron radiations.Due to the excellent comprehensive performance of the radiation shielding inorganic glass,it has a good prospect in the field of radiation protection.
