摘要

Abstract

The growth rule for a 15-year-old Cinnamomum camphora plantation was investigated in Huang-fengqiao forest farm,Hunan.Stem analysis was adopted to examine the dynamic changes of diameter at breast height(DBH),tree height(H),and volume in each year. Results showed that the average DBH,mean tree height and average stem bifurcation height of C.camphora plantation were 18.8 cm,13.7 m,8.6 m,re-spectively.The current annual increment of tree height followed an pattern of"high-low-high".There were two peaks for current annual increment during the growing period,which were the fourth year and the twelfth year. The tree height of C.camphora grew rapidly at seedling stage,which showed a stable trend after the sixth year,and reached 15.1 m at the fifteenth year.The total increment of DBH was 26.7 cm.The DBH current an-nual increment fluctuated greatly during the fifteen growing periods,which reached the peak value of 1.95 m/a at the twelfth year.The average growth fluctuation was small,and the overall growth was steady,which main-tained from 1.75 to 2.03 m/a.The total volume increment of C.camphora was 0.359 25 m3.The current annual growth curve and the average growth curve of volume did not intersect in the fifteen growing periods,which in-dicated that C.camphora plantations have not reached the quantitative maturity age,and the average incre-ment of volumn has not reached the maximum.The main felling age of C.camphora shoud be 15 years later.
