摘要

Abstract

The shear behavior of reinforced concrete cantilever beams strengthened with pretensioning steel wire rope mesh and polymer mortar layer using new pretension and anchor system is investigated.Four RC beams strengthened with pretensioning steel wire rope mesh were tested and compared with two reinforced concrete beam.The main parameters include the reinforcement mode,the spacing of the rope,and the type of the beam.The experimental results show that the shear capacity of strengthening beams can increase.With decreasing steel wire spacing,the shear load-carrying capacity will increase;the effect strengthened by ring strengthening is better than U-type.In the same conditions,stress of steel wire rope in the cantilever beam is slightly smaller than that in the simply supported beam.A simple and practical model to predict the shear capacity of strengthening beams is proposed.The predicted results using this model are in good agreement with the experiment results.The proposed model can be used for theoretical analysis and design of concrete beams strengthened with pretensioning steel wire rope mesh and polymer mortar layer.
