Environmental conditions and cooling water flow rates influence on the performance of the photovoltaic/thermal system

摘要

Abstract

The performance of the photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) system could be significant varied with environmental conditions. This paper has comparatively analyzed the output performances of the PV/T system and temperature variations of the PV/T component under airtight and ventilation conditions, which are impacted by the mass flow rate of the cooling water via changing the laboratory indoor environmental factors. The results show that the average temperatures of the PV/T component and around environment would be higher of 7 ℃ in the airtight than ventilation. In addition, the output power of PV/T system has increased by 3.5% under airtight than ventilation. Similarly,the thermal efficiency of the PV/T system could be increased by 13%.
