摘要

Abstract

As a clean, non-polluting energy, wave energy is expected to improve the existing energy structure. As the development of wave energy devices is constrained by the high cost of construction and maintenance, the concept of multifunctional wave energy devices has been proposed. These devices can be used to extract wave energy, at the same time, employed as the foundation for breakwaters, offshore wind turbines, tidal turbines, photovoltaics or desalination. In this paper,the technical characteristics of multifunctional wave energy devices are emphasized and the latest research progress in the efficiency of wave energy conversion, power output, dynamic response and power-take-off system are highlighted. Finally, suggestions for the development of multifunctional wave energy devices are concluded, which is of great value to the researches on multifunctional wave energy devices in the future.
