Static Lateral Performance and Design Methods of Steel Frame in-filled with Cold-formed Thin-walled Steel Framed Wall

Abstract
Steel frame in-filled with cold-formed thin-walled steel framed wall(PF-CFSF)structural system can be used in multi-story and high-rise building.The objective of this paper is studied the resistant lateral stiffness and lateral load-carrying capacity of PF-CFSF under wind load and frequent earthquake action.SAP2000 finite element method is used to analyze the resistant shear behavior of PF-CFSF under lateral load.The research results show that SAP2000 finite element can accurately model the lateral behavior of PF-CFSF.The main factors influenced the resistant lateral stiffness and the share-shear force ratios of PF-CFSF are the stiffness of steel frame,the width of cold-formed steel framed wall,and the overlay materials of wall.The resistant lateral stiffness of PF-CFSF approximately equals to the total stiffness of steel frame (PF) and the cold-formed steel framed wall(CFSF).The shear forces are distributed between PF and CFSF in terms of the lateral stiffness of PF and CFSF.The resistant lateral stiffness and the distribution rules of shear forces can be used to elastic design of the PF-CFSF structural system in multi-story and high-rise building.关键词
