Abstract

Taking the landscape of plantation plants in Mt.Niushou scenic spot in NanJing as the research object,this paper makes a visual evaluation on the artificial plant landscape and analyzes the importance of various factors in determining the visual quality by the typical photo samples and the scenic beauty evaluation method. The individual differences among the public and the interaction of these differences did not significantly impact on the rating of the plant landscape.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to establish the model between the value of scenic beauty evaluation and the characteristics of the landscape. Color richness, color contrast, vegetation coverage, tree species, life-form composition and height of vegetation, the six factors significantly explained the difference of the scenic beauty value of artificial plant landscape in Niushoushan Mountain, 72% of the total variance. According to the model, the artificial plant landscape design of the Buddhist temple scenic spot should focus on color selection and configuration, highlight of the Buddhist temple culture, reasonable selection of plant species and full display of color transformation.This study will provide a scientific basis for decision makers,managers and planners in landscape planning of scenic spots with Buddhist temple culture characteristics.
