维生素A摄入量与燃煤型氟中毒的关系
Relationship between dietary intake of vitamin A and coal burning fluorosis
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between dietary intake of vitamin A (VA) and coal burning fluorosis. Methods This 1∶1 matched case-control study was conducted in Zhijin county of Guizhou province and 200 patients (the fluorosis group) and 200 control subjects (the non-fluorosis group) matched by gender and age (± 3 years old) were recruited.Trained interviewers conducted face-to-face interviews based on a structured questionnaire.Information collected included general sociodemographic and coal burning related conditions.A 75-item food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) was used to assess habitual dietary intake in the year. The level of urinary fluoride was compared between the fluorosis group and non-fluorosis group.Conditional logistic regression was used to analyse the relationship between the dietary VA intake and coal burning fluorosis. Results Patients in the fluorosis group were more likely to have lower levels of dietary VA intake, education level, household income, and proportion of improved stove use, washed corn and chili before cooking, and using improved stove (all P < 0.05).In the univariate logistic regression analysis, the dietary VA intake was negatively correlated with the coal burning fluorosis (P-trend < 0.001),after adjustment for general and sociodemographic characteristics, the association remained significant for dietary VA intake (P-trend =0.003).Further more, after adjusting the coal burning-related conditions, the association lightly attenuated but remained significant for dietary VA intake (P-trend =0.007).Conclusion Within a certain range, the more the dietary intake of VA is,the lower the risk of coal-burning fluorosis will become.关键词
