Abstract

In order to characterize the genome of the goose circovurs isolated in Fujian (the FJ2016 strain),a reverse primer was designed to obtain the genome sequence of the FJ2016 strain by means of PCR amplification in a goose in stunted growth.The results showed that the genome of the FJ2016 strain was 1821 bp long,its replicated protein was 882 bp in length encoding 293 amino acids,and its anti-genetic protein was 753 bp long encoding 250 amino acids.In the perspective of genetic evolution of the genome,GoCV could be divided into 2 branches:GoCV-1 and GoCV-2 branch,with the FJ2016 strain being in the GoCV-1 branch.Compared with the nucleotide homology,the FJ2016 strain exhibited the highest homology with yk2 at 98.2%,but lower with the Greylag goose circovirus 2GK strain at 82.4%,and even lower with Cygnusolor circovirus at 73.7% (below 80%).The FJ2016 strain shared 97.3% to 98.2% of homology with the goose circoviruses in the GoCV-1 branch,and 93.1% to 93.5% with the goose circoviruses in the GoCV-2 branch.This study was the first report on circovirus infection in geese in Fujian Province.
