摘要

Abstract

In order to detect the susceptibility of the extracts of five Chinese herbs Galla Chinensis,Scutellariae Radix,Coptidis Rhizoma,Artemisiae Argyi Folium and Houttuyniae Herba to restore the sensitivity of drug-resistant Escherichia coli to aminoglycoside antibiotics,the antibacterial properties of the experimental strains were eliminated by 1/2MIC Chinese herbal medicine,the drug-resistant colonies were screened by photographic cuhure,the rate of drug-resistant elimination and MIC eliminated were observed,and the expression of the plasmid and drug resistance gene Rmt B were detected.The results showed that the five Chinese herbal extracts had a certain inhibitory effect on the drug-resistant Escherichia coli.48 h treatment of the experimental strains by 1/2 MIC resulted in the elimination rates of 20.67% by gallnut,21.33% by Scutellaria baicalensis,17.33% by Coptis chinensis,16.67% by Iziphus jujuba and 9.33% by Houttuynia cordata,respectively.The MIC values of the elimination for GENA,KAN,AMK and NEO were from high resistance (>512 μg/mL) to sensitivity (2 ~4 μg/ml).The five Chinese herbal extracts could not remove the drug resistance plasmids,but they could drop the drug-resistant gene Rmt B.To conclude,the extracts of the five Chinese herbs could restore drug sensitivity by dropping the major drug-resistant genes from the bacteria that are highly resistant to aminoglycosides.
